We strive to create a safe, supportive community, both in-person and online. To us that means a place where you are free to speak honestly about the things that are most important to you without fear of being attacked or ridiculed. But we don't buy into strict speech codes or absolute rules. After all, sometimes we all need a loving kick in the pants and having someone call us on our own illusions can be the most helpful thing.

So, we encourage members to use their own conscience and the golden rule (remember that ol' thing... "treat others the way you would like to be treated") to guide them. Usually, that just means taking a minute to think before you speak (or post).

Of course, we will not tolerate hateful or offensive speech directed either at an individual or group. This also applies to unproductive negativity that can create a stifling and unproductive atmosphere. Facilitators, either in-person or online, will be monitoring public comments and dealing with inappropriate material.

While we want to encourage members of the community to draw on the resources of each other and build strong business partnerships, we will not tolerate the use of the Emotus Community for mass sales or inappropriate advertising. If you would like to get word out to the community about a service that you offer, please contact the administrator for ways in which we can help you do that in appropriate ways.
