Trailblazers
The Emotus Operandi system has been specifically designed for people who are generally engaged in creative and transformational work that involves venturing into unknown territory. For people like us, meaningful work is a central part of a successful life, not simply a way to earn a paycheck.
We call ourselves “trailblazers” – people who dare to walk new paths in order to make the world a better place and find an authentic voice for ourselves and others.

About the team
The Emotus Operandi was created by an interdisciplinary team of seasoned professionals. We combine extensive training and experience in a wide variety of disciplines including organizational development, coaching, strategic planning, group facilitation, community engagement, group dynamics, leadership, marketing, programming, and design. More importantly, the team is made up of trailblazers who have chosen to take the path less traveled and have found ways to combine their passions and their work in enthusiastic, sustainable ways.

Review and Renew Session
Often we are so busy doing stuff, that we fail to take the time to see how much we've actually accomplished.
The Review and Renew Session happens 3 months after the Jump Start Intensive and provides an opportunity to 1) celebrate your progress, 2) learn from your experience 3) refine your goals and 4) create a new action plan for the next 3 months.
The Review and Renew session is both a work session and a celebration. Friends and family are invited to share in your successes and paybacks are handed out to participants that have added that option. We use the 70/30 rule to capture the key learning.
We capture the forward motion and focus it into a new, refined action plan for the next three months.

The Jump Start Intensive
The Jump Start Intensive is an interactive workshop done with a group of other trailblazers. It takes about 8 hours and is offered in a single-day, two half-day, or 4 two-hour sessions to accommodate a variety of schedules.
The Jump Start Intensive goes through a series of exercises working with other participants to get you focused and ready to accomplish big things in the next 3 months.

ReGroup Meetings
Any big project is a marathon, not a sprint. You need stops along the way to regroup, refocus, and re-energize. ReGroup Meetings provide a face-to-face opportunity to meet with others to help you stay on track and build social support around your most important projects.

What is the system based on?
The Emotus Operandi system was developed by Ben Kadel PhD. based on years of research and experience in helping individuals and groups overcome fear, doubt, confusion and conflict and unleash the power of enthusiasm to make real progress on important goals. The system is based in large part of recent research in positive psychology, emotional intelligence and hitting "flow" - all of which uses fMRI and other advanced brain imaging systems to peek into the complex relationships between emotions, effort, and accomplishment. All of the techniques used in the system have been reality tested with real-live people and groups over the past 10 years.
The First Law of Emotional Dynamics
The first law of thermodynamics says that energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed from one form to another. A while ago, I realized that the same was true of emotional dynamics - the key is in transforming the energy from one form to another.
